Role Overview

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing safe, patient-focused perioperative care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care throughout the surgical process while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment while ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and unit projects.
• Facilitate efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• At least one year of previous perioperative experience or relevant on-the-job training.
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification (AORN) is preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
