Located in the heart of downtown Houston, our hotel offers 955 guest rooms, 4 F&B outlets and more than 71,000 square feet of meeting and event space, creating an exciting environment for business travel, conventions, dining -and special events. The role works as a team with other F&B Managers and supervisors to support the F&B operations of the hotel. Responsibilities may include scheduling and training, driving revenue, managing a team of hourly colleagues, resolving guest concerns and upholding a high level of Customer Service, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as all operating procedures. This is a hands-on role that supports the team by guiding and working alongside them. The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager must have strong communication and analytical skills. Food and Beverage cost control experience is helpful. This position requires open schedule availability; including evening shifts and will includeweekends and holidays. Wine/beverage knowledge in an upscale environment preferred Must possess exceptional communication skills and computer proficiency. Ability to work a flexible schedule including Weekends and Holidays Ideal applicant should have strong organizational skills, ability to work with flexible work schedule, be a team player and a dynamic leader High energy, effective communicator This position also requires the ability to stand of feet for long periods of time and the ability to lift moderate weight.
