Lead Billing Technician

Job TitleDutiesAnalyze, maintain and direct the billing operation for third party program.Distribute, monitor and report on the status and progress of work, checking on work in progress and reviewing completed work to see that the supervisors' instruction on work priorities, methods, deadlines and quality have been met.Provide data to the Business Office Manager for inclusion in reports and use in performance appraisals.Receive and examine alternate resources claims to assure claims are complete with appropriate supporting documents; verify accuracy of health claim numbers; identify errors, omissions, duplications in documents and contact the appropriate individuals to resolve problem.Provide technical assistance with processing and maintaining CPT coding, abstraction of the complete chart and compliance enforcement of all regulatory requirements; review, analyze CPT coding, abstract and compile data, maintain and identify potential risk areas in outpatient medical record.
