We provide the resources, encouragement and focus and if you have the passion, we want to build a better tomorrow with you!As a Stress and Dynamics Analyst, you will be responsible for performing preliminary and detailed level analysis of spacecraft flight structures and mechanisms, electronic components, and ground and test support equipment using standardized methods, and perorm dynamic analysis of Spacecraft structures to support component environment definition, acoustic analysis, response dynamics, and coupled loads analysis and support vibration testing of component, subsystem and vehicle level tests.Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or combination of education and relevant experienceExperience with NX (Simcenter)/NASTRAN finite element modeling or equivalentKnowledge of and applicable experience with spacecraft or aircraft structural analysis methods, including classical hand calculations and experience with mechanical jointsAbility to apply new and advanced analytical techniques necessary to perform structural analysisKnowledge of structural characteristics and the ability to generate free body diagrams detailing load paths through complex systemsExperience performing dynamic response, random vibration and coupled loads analysis.US citizenship is requiredDesired SkillsDesired skills are the additional skills that help narrow down a qualified candidate list.A Master's degree is strongly preferred for this positionExperience designing and/or analyzing aluminum honeycomb and laminate composite structuresAbility to work in a collaborative and highly integrated team environmentAbility and desire to assume ownership of tasks and drive to closure quickly and efficientlyNon-linear, fracture& fatigue, and buckling analysis experienceMechanisms, antenna, electronic component, ground support, hoisting, and test support equipment, and composite materials analysis experienceExperience with Abaqus, Matlab, Mathcad, CREO and TeamCenterAcademic coursework in advanced mechanics of materialsDynamic analysis and vibration test experience of components and space vehicle structures (Sine, Random Vibration, Acoustic) and CLAProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practicePay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
