Project Manager I

Role Overview


Responsible for independently leading small to medium Finance and Actuarial initiatives with focused support for Enterprise Modeling. Provides project coordination and delivery support across modeling, data, and reporting workstreams.


Key Responsibilities
• Support Enterprise Modeling project activities, meetings, and deliverables.
• Create and maintain project plans, status reports, dashboards, and meeting notes.
• Track RAID logs, risks, issues, and decisions.
• Coordinate sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies.
• Maintain backlog and work items in Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar tools.
• Compile project metrics and stakeholder status updates.
• Build relationships across Modeling, Actuarial, IT, and Finance teams.
• Use ADO, SmartSheet, Excel, and PowerPoint for reporting and documentation.
• Partner with Product Owners and Scrum Masters on backlog prioritization.
• Facilitate Agile or hybrid delivery planning and milestone tracking.
• Ensure backlog alignment with delivery commitments and capacity.
• Escalate risks, blockers, and scheduling conflicts.
• Take ownership of smaller projects and workstreams as experience grows.


Required Skills / Experience
• 3-5 years of project coordination, project management, or related support experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, ADO, SmartSheet, JIRA, or MS Project.
• Exposure to financial services, insurance, actuarial, or modeling environments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in growing a project management career.


Preferred Skills / Experience
• CAPM, PMP, CSM, or similar certification.
• Experience with Prophet, Oracle Cloud EPM, or Snowflake.
• Prior experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar work-tracking tools. Medical, dental, and vision insurance are available to qualified candidates who meet eligibility requirements.
