The PTA Physical Therapist Assistant supports physical therapists in implementing treatment plans and ensuring effective patient care. This role involves supervising exercises, documenting progress, educating patients, and collaborating closely with therapists to promote recovery and safety.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans designed by physical therapists
- Supervise and guide patients through prescribed exercises
- Document patient progress and treatment responses accurately
- Educate patients on proper techniques and safety measures
- Collaborate with therapists to adjust care plans as needed
- Monitor patient safety throughout treatment sessions
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in physical therapy assisting
- Patient care and rehabilitation techniques knowledge
- Proficiency in therapeutic exercises
- Strong understanding of anatomy
- Effective communication skills
