Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring a minimum of 2 years cath lab experience and OH or compact RN licensure.

Details

Work in the Cardiac Cath Lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures

Patient population includes adults undergoing left and right heart catheterizations, interventional catheterizations, and peripheral vascular cases

Lab staffing ratio is 2 nurses and 1 tech; recovery area ratio is 2 nurses to up to 7 patients

Uses specialized equipment including IABP, temporary pacemaker, permanent pacemaker, ICD, Micra, and Penumbra devices

Performs procedures involving stents, balloons, and conscious sedation

Charting systems used include Xper, Paragon, and Athena, with training provided

Day shift schedule Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Call requirement of 8-9 call shifts per 4-week schedule

On-call weekend requirement of 1 weekend per schedule (Friday 4:30 PM to Monday 7:30 AM)

No floating required outside of nuclear medicine for stress tests or sedation for biopsy procedures

Daily assignment may vary between the cath lab and pre/post procedure area

Requirements

Active OH RN license or compact RN license required

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required

Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring

Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring experience preferred

US citizenship required for consideration

Additional Information

Provide direct patient care in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization settings

Monitor patients receiving procedural sedation and manage dysrhythmias as needed

Scrubs are provided for this assignment

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
