2nd Shift Custodian

Kent Quality Foods, a premier manufacture of specialty meat products, is seeking a 2nd shift custodian at our Grand Rapids location. We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented 2nd shift custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and guests. This role is responsible for routine cleaning, sanitation, light maintenance support, and building tasks during evening hours. Key Responsibilities: Clean and sanitize assigned areas, including restrooms, break rooms, offices, hallways, entrances, and common spaces. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, disinfect surfaces, and remove trash and recycling. Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed. Set up, move, or arrange furniture and equipment for events or cleaning as assigned. Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, equipment problems, or supply needs to a supervisor. Follow established cleaning schedules, safety procedures, and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Perform other custodial or light facility support duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or facilities experience preferred but not required. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently. Reliable attendance, professionalism, and attention to detail. Ability to use standard cleaning tools and equipment safely. This position requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting throughout the shift. Ability to lift and carry upto 50 pounds, use cleaning equipment, climb stairs, and work with cleaning products in accordance with safety guidelines. Why Join Kent Quality Foods? This is a 2nd shift position, Monday through Friday, with shifts beginning at 3:00 pm and averaging 8–12 hours per day. Occasional Saturday work may be required based on facility needs. Pay is based on experience. Eligible for $3 per hour shift differential, attendance bonus valued at $1 per hour and profit sharing.
