Position Summary

The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for growing the Mid & West territory through a combination of distributor development, distributor management, and direct customer sales .

This role is ideal for a scientifically minded sales professional who understands laboratory operations, enjoys building long-term customer relationships, and is motivated by business growth and personal success.

The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding market presence, developing strategic channel partnerships, and increasing sales across multiple laboratory sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Distributor Development & Management

• Identify, recruit, and develop qualified distributors and sales agents within the assigned territory.
• Build and maintain strong business relationships with channel partners.
• Provide product training, sales support, and business development guidance.
• Collaborate with distributors to generate leads and close business opportunities.
• Monitor distributor performance and support territory growth initiatives.

Direct Sales

• Prospect and develop new customer relationships throughout the assigned region.
• Conduct customer visits, product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions.
• Understand customer applications and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and close sales opportunities.
• Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, sales forecasts, and customer records.
• Represent CDS Company at industry conferences, trade shows, and technical events.

Required

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in a chemical laboratory environment .
• Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and analytical testing needs.
• Minimum 2 years of direct sales experience , preferably involving laboratory, analytical, scientific, or technical products.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Professional, energetic, and personable communication style.
• Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to achieve and grow professionally.
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Preferred

• Experience selling laboratory instruments, analytical equipment, or scientific products.
• Familiarity with sample preparation technologies and analytical chemistry applications.
• Established relationships within environmental, government, academic, or industrial laboratory markets.
