CustodianA leading company specializing in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of components for commercial aircraft cabin interiors and in-flight entertainment systems is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to join its team in Northridge.The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and well-maintained facility, including offices, restrooms, assembly areas, and the machine shop. This position will also perform general building maintenance and assist with various facility-related tasks as needed.Responsibilities:Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the entire facility.Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and perform general cleaning duties.Collect and dispose of trash and other facility waste.Clean and maintain restrooms, offices, machine shop, assembly areas, and common areas.Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of janitorial and cleaning supplies.Order janitorial supplies as needed.Perform basic building maintenance, including: Replacing light bulbs, Repairing or replacing door handles and hardware, Moving pallets and materials as needed and assembling and setting up new furniture.Maintain cleanliness and organization within the machine shop.Dispose of machine chips and debris according to company procedures.Operate a forklift to move materials and pallets as needed.Assist with basic maintenance of the facility's compressor and dryer systems.Identify maintenance or facility issues and communicate them to the appropriate personnel.Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.Perform other custodial and facility-support duties as assigned.Qualifications:Approximately 2 years of previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred.Basic knowledge of building and facility maintenance.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Excellent attention to detail.Good verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and prioritize daily responsibilities.Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals, equipment, and facility materials.Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.Forklift experience/certification is a plus.Reliable, dependable, and committed to maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
