Must have in-home infusion experienceFull job descriptionThe Infusion Nurse reports to the Director of Nursing and is responsible for providing HOME health clinical services. The Infusion nurse is responsible for quality, adequacy of services provided and may, where required, supervise staff. The Infusion Nurse is responsible for ensuring that care is delivered appropriately, and the standards of quality are adhered to.The Infusion Nurse is responsible for working with other medical disciplines (i.e., PT, OT, ST, Dictation) to ensure coordinated services and that all of the client's needs are identified through the assessment process and addressed through the implementation of the Plan of Care and reevaluation and supervisory process.DutiesProvides care as defined within the scope of the state's Nurse Practice ActAdministered specialized nursing as appropriateInitiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing proceduresPrepares clinical and progress notes and summaries of careInforms the Director of Nursing, physician and other personnel of changes in the client's condition and needsCounsels the client and family in meeting nursing and related needsSupervises, educates and coaches other nursing personnel, as directed by the Director of NursingAssures compliance with all local, state, and federal lawsIdentifies and participates in agency performance improvement activitiesStays informed about changes in the field of nursing and home health care. Shares information with appropriate organization personnelPromotes home health referrals in the health care communityQualifications:Registered nurse with current unencumbered licensure to practice professional nursing in the state in which the care is being providedBachelor's degree in NursingMinimum of one year of documented experiencePossess exceptional nursing assessment skillsComply with accepted professional standards of practiceExcellent interpersonal skillsAnalytic/Critical thinkerExcellent customer service skills and ability to deal tactfully with clients, staff, and communityTreat clients, staff and the public with courtesy, respect, and presents a positive public imageCase management skills are a plusAbility to work on weekends, nights, and holidaysReliable transportationUnderstands regulatory complianceState requirement for NM franchise locationFederal regulations including but not limited to OSHA, HIPAAJoin us in making a difference in the lives of our patients through exceptional nursing care!Job Type: ContractPay: $40.00-45.00Expected hours: 20-25 hrsAbility to Commute:Albuquerque, NMAbility to Relocate:Albuquerque, NMWork Location: In person
