Qualifications:

• Active Special Education teaching certification
• Secondary Generalist Certification required
• Previous experience working in a high school ALE (Alternative Learning Environment) classroom is preferred
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners
• Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to professional development and ongoing collaboration

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with students’ needs
• Deliver instruction in core subjects, tailoring strategies for varying learning abilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure inclusive practices
• Monitor student progress, maintaining accurate documentation and assessment records
• Participate in ARD meetings and contribute to campus and district initiatives in special education
• Engage families and caregivers, providing regular updates on academic and behavioral progress
