Seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT/MLS) with high proficiency in blood bank testing to perform complex laboratory procedures, ensure quality assurance, and support diagnostic and therapeutic testing. Must be able to operate independently with minimal supervision and deliver accurate results critical for patient care. Responsibilities:
- Perform, interpret, and correlate clinical laboratory tests following established protocols.
- Prepare and process specimens, screen patient samples, and analyze results for clinical diagnosis.
- Monitor quality control programs and promote cost-effective, reliable testing practices.
- Communicate technical information clearly to medical staff and laypersons as needed.
- Exercise initiative in troubleshooting technical or procedural problems within the laboratory.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain efficient laboratory operations.
- Minimum of 3 years current experience as an MLT, MT, or MLS, including travel laboratory work.
- Certification through ASCP, AMT, or AAB is required; NCCT or NHA certifications are not accepted.
- Proven proficiency in blood bank, hematology, chemistry, coagulology, microbiology, and blood bank testing.
- High-level phlebotomy skills with documented proficiency must be included in profile.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field required.
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle mandatory for travel assignments.
