Job Description

Job Description

Bring your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to support student success in a dynamic educational environment. A rewarding opportunity exists for a contract-based OT to work part-time with students across two school sites, making a difference in young lives throughout the academic year.

This role involves onsite service provision at two locations weekly, with a focus on delivering therapy to students from diverse backgrounds. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are dedicated to direct interventions at the high school and elementary levels, while Fridays offer the opportunity to conduct PreK evaluations. If you possess a passion for empowering young learners and are interested in taking on a supervisory component, this position may be a great match.

Qualifications:

  • Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license in Louisiana required
  • Experience in school-based OT services preferred
  • Strong evaluation and intervention skills for PreK through high school populations
  • Willingness and capability to supervise a COTA
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group OT interventions at two school sites
  • Conduct comprehensive PreK evaluations on a dedicated day
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals
  • Supervise a COTA as needed, providing guidance and mentorship
  • Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary planning as appropriate

You’ll enjoy the flexibility of a part-time schedule, working 20-25 hours per week, while having a positive impact on the local school community. The assignment runs through the end of the school year, offering a stable and engaging experience in a school-based environment.

If you have the dedication to inspire student progress and meet the licensure requirements, submit your resume today to explore this impactful opportunity!
