Role Overview Role: Customer Experience Guide – Seasonal Team.Retail Location: Chicago Mag Mile, IL.Store Scope: Customer Service In-Person, CF2.Reports To: Retail Store General Manager.Pay Range: $20.75 - $22.75 per hour.Seasonal Positions: Employees who work on an intermittent or as‑needed basis.Seasonal employees may not work over 19 hours per week or more than 76 hours per month.Contract Window: 6‑month contract. Benefits: Seasonal employees are not eligible for any company‑sponsored benefits unless otherwise required by law. Seasonals are eligible for sick leave benefits and in‑store discounts. Responsibilities Support core teams through peak seasons, sales, and when otherwise needed to maintain customers’ experience. Engage in day‑to‑day activities to keep customers satisfied. Learn about products, share passion for community, and support environmental protection efforts. Deliver best‑in‑class service by centering the customer in everything we do. Utilize selling sense skills and connect communities to a life outdoors. Apply product knowledge to serve customer needs. Answer phones, support front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations, and manage inventory flow. Process shipments, support physical inventory, and restock the sales floor. Assist with sale prep, breakdown, product transfers, donations, etc. Maintain visual store standards (folding, hanging, buffing, steaming, dressing mannequins, stocking the floor). Practice security measures, report and resolve concerns quickly, and maintain a safe, secure environment. Create a supportive, positive, respectful work environment free from harassment. Skills & Qualifications Proven customer service and/or sales skills; prior retail or related experience preferred. Interest in or willingness to learn about our products and services. Organizational skills; attention to detail; prioritization of tasks based on urgency and importance. Time‑management; reliable and punctual; meets deadlines or communicates issues cross‑functionally. Physical Requirements Stand/walk for extended periods; shifts up to 8 hours per day. Reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry products for customer service, inventory stocking, events, and merchandising. Walk up and down stairs carrying boxes, products, and other items. Perform store cleaning standards such as sweeping, vacuuming, and trash disposal. Safely lift up to 55 pounds. Comfortable climbing ladders. Schedule Store open seven days a week; business hours: Sunday – Wednesday 10am–6pm; Thursday – Saturday 10am–7pm. Hiring needs: under 19 hours with open availability Thursday – Sunday. Shifts may begin and end up to two hours before and after business hours. Flexible to business and team needs; schedules can vary week to week. Expect employees to be on time and align with attendance policy.
