Hands‑on training and development to set you up for success A fun, fast‑paced work environment where every day is different Responsibilities Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing friendly, prompt service at the register or self‑checkout Suggest additional products to enhance guest purchases Address guest concerns with urgency and involve managers as needed Foster a team‑oriented, respectful work environment Keep our stores stocked & fresh, ensuring food and beverage items are available and meet quality standards Maintain cleanliness in food prep areas and follow all safety regulations Restock shelves, coolers, and display areas as needed Keep the store clean & organized, maintaining a clean, welcoming environment inside and out Complete regular cleaning tasks to ensure a great experience for guests Assist in inventory management and restocking Greet guests and teammates with a smile, responding promptly and courteously Respond promptly and respectfully to management directions, being flexible across all store areas including food service, store cleaning, cash wrap, and stocking shelves/coolers Prepare, handle, and serve food in accordance with safety and quality standards Maintain a clean and organized food service area, ensuring proper storage and labeling of ingredients, and adhering to all food safety regulations Clean all areas of the store, break down food equipment, and follow established cleaning procedures Ensure adherence to safety protocols when handling chemicals Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately, process transactions, handle cash and card payments, and provide excellent guest service Keep the register area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies while adhering to all cash‑handling policies and procedures Act as the first point of contact for guest concerns, responding respectfully and compassionately while recognizing when to elevate issues to the shift manager Manage line lengths and provide clear, prompt communication to meet guest transaction expectations Follow all written and verbal instructions to uphold food safety standards, including thorough cleaning of preparation stations Proactively inform guests about promotional food items to raise awareness and drive product engagement Act in accordance with all RaceTrac policies and federal, state, and local safety regulations, including those related to food safety Respond openly to feedback from guests, team members, and leaders, making necessary adjustments to enhance performance Be a reliable team player by arriving on time for scheduled shifts, supporting teammates throughout their shift, sharing important information, and working effectively with individuals from different backgrounds Engage with guests and teammates politely and respectfully, listening actively to their requests without interrupting Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (or in progress) Previous experience in a fast‑paced, guest‑focused environment is a plus A team player who takes the initiative and enjoys working with people Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks like bending and standing May be required to obtain and maintain food handler or alcohol server permits, depending on state/local regulations All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment with RaceTrac without regard to their race, national origin, religion, age, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by local, state, or federal laws, rules, or regulations.
