Our team members are critical in our mission of supporting waste warriors and keeping communities safe and clean.The Senior Field Service Technician will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair refuse collection vehicles out in the field, specifically our Volterra ZSL Electric Refuse Collection Vehicle. Will be responsible for training other technicians in order to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding of proper repair techniques.Will train the right person who is willing to travel and learn new technologies as well as diagnostic techniques.Travel RequirementThis position will be based in the field and require daily travel within assigned territories.Technicians will be provided a company vehicle and a company Fuel Card to pay for vehicle expenses.Must be able to be insured by McNeilus80% TravelYour ImpactConduct all aspects of advance repairs on all Volterra ZSL Electric Refuse Collection VehicleTrain other technicians by assisting them with troubleshooting and accurate way of searching for parts.Inspect and troubleshoot different types of vehicles to determine a resolution.Assist technicians with Quality Control issues when necessary.Continuously maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.Maintain one's own service truck maintained in good working order, clean and presentable.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or its equivalent.Five (5) or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.Experience with chassis maintenance or repair.Advanced electrical and diagnostic experience or certifications.Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and the ability to read and understand schematics.Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills.Valid Driver's License.Standout QualificationsExperience as a Field Service Technician.Experience with welding and hydraulic systems.Experience in mentoring and training others.High Voltage CertificationBenefits401 (k)Health, Dental, Vision, insurancePTOStock purchase planEmployee DiscountsPaid Parental LeavePet InsuranceTuition ReimbursementPay Range: $63,500.00 - $101,700.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations.
