AWS Connect Specialist

Title AWS Connect Specialist - Long-Term Contract (Government) Position Location & Work Arrangement Washington, DC — Hybrid (on-site 3x/week) Required Experience Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with Amazon Connect and related AWS services. Responsibilities Design, document, and implement contact flows using Amazon Connect. Develop and deploy chatbots and conversational AI within Connect contact flows. Configure and maintain Amazon Connect instances, user profiles, routing and security profiles. Ensure all metrics for KPIs are collected and available; configure dashboards and reports with Amazon QuickSight. Review usage data from CloudWatch and report findings to supervisor. Set up and manage outbound voice campaigns and customer surveys; ensure compliance with regulations. Design and implement integrations between Amazon Connect and other systems (CRMs, Lambda) and continuously improve designs. Collaborate with security staff to document and implement processes to ensure compliance with district and security controls. Apply change control and configuration management for production environment modifications. Identify and resolve technical issues related to the Connect environment and implement system revisions to maintain performance. Education & Qualifications Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Amazon Connect CCaaS hands‑on experience. Hands‑on AWS CI/CD experience to deploy code and customizations. AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer (preferred). Experience with scripting and integrating AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3). Understanding of Voice over IP, customer experience strategies, and system integration. Experience with workforce optimization practices (forecast capacity planning, scheduling). Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with IT, business analysts, security staff, and leaders. Strong communication skills for gathering requirements, providing technical explanations, and stakeholder collaboration.
