Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring. Responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing patient care plans in a fast-paced environment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and alert the medical team to any abnormalities.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC).
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and update individualized care plans.
• Provide patient education on cardiac conditions, procedures, and post-discharge care.
• Float to other units as needed, adapting to different patient populations and unit protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid CA RN license with Nursys verification within the last 2 weeks.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent telemetry nursing experience.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications nationally recognized by AHA or ARC.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC electronic health record systems.
• Be willing to work every other weekend and float to various units if required.
• Comply with Tier 3 travel and local candidate submission guidelines.
