This is a very busy location.What You Will Do:Room patients. Measure and record vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration.Complete patient interview and history.Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments and explain procedures. Assist with procedures as ordered by provider.May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests.Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.Collect samples such as blood, urine and sputum from patients, and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.Administer vaccines as directed by provider.Manage a high volume of patient requests.Administrative/clerical duties as required.Travel between locations may be required.Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; dependable attendance.Strong attention to detail and organizational abilitiesAbility to multitask and prioritize tasks effectivelyProficiency in medical terminology, computer skills and HIPAA complianceKnowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and instrumentsAbility to draw bloodHigh level of professionalismAthena experience preferredEducation:High School diploma or equivalent.Certificate from a Medical Assisting ProgramCertification/Registration from an Accredited Board preferred or a minimum of 1 year experience and the ability to obtain certification or registration.Benefits:Medical, Dental, and Vision coverageShort Term DisabilityLong Term DisabilityAD&D insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending/Health Savings accountFree parkingLife insurance401KOpportunities for advancementPaid time off
