Structural Engineer – Residential & Commercial Buildings

Our client, an established architecture firm with more than 40 years of success, is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join its team.

This is a hands on technical role for an engineer who can independently manage projects while working closely with architects and other design professionals. Projects include custom residential and single family homes, along with multifamily, mixed use, retail, restaurant, and commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for residential and commercial building projects.
• Independently manage projects from initial design through construction.
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, and construction documents.
• Work closely with architects to develop practical structural solutions that support the overall design.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, clients, and other project stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects, schedules, and technical deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Approximately 8 to 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Strong experience with building structures, particularly custom and single family residential projects.
• Strong technical design and problem solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage projects with limited oversight.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with architects.
• PE license preferred.
• Experience with multifamily, mixed use, retail, restaurant, or commercial projects is a plus.
