Overview

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Commercial Electricians for projects located in or around Barrington, IL. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $45/hour based on experience and skill level.  IF you are an Electrician and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and controls in commercial environments
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
• Install and bend EMT, Rigid, PVC, and Flexible conduit up to 2"
• Install cable trays, electrical wire, and electrical devices
• Troubleshoot electrical systems using testing equipment to identify and resolve issues
• Install and terminate motors, transformers, panels, switchgear, lighting, receptacles, and control systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment
• Ensure all work complies with NEC, OSHA, and local electrical codes
• Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and other trades to complete projects safely and on schedule
• Respond to emergency service calls and equipment failures as needed
• Operate aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of commercial electrical experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
• Experience installing and bending conduit up to 2"
• Experience installing and terminating motors, transformers, panels, switchgear, lighting, receptacles, and control systems
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Knowledge of NEC and OSHA requirements
• Experience operating aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts
• Must be safety-conscious, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
