Job Title : General Camp Counselor - SEASONAL position

Duration : 7 weeks on site; 1 week of orientation and 6 weeks of camp

Location : Camp Akiba, Stroudsburg PA

Camp Akiba is hiring enthusiastic, compassionate, and dedicated counselors to join our Boys’ Side team for an unforgettable summer experience.

Responsibilities

Live with, supervise and support campers ages 8–13
Build strong relationships and encourage campers to make friends
Assist with hygiene routines, transitions, bunk clean-up, and mealtimes
Participate in daily camp activities, special events and evening programs
Be a positive role model in attitude, behavior, spirit and communication
Collaborate with your co-counselors and staff team to deliver the best experience possible

Qualifications

Responsible, patient, and emotionally intelligent
Enthusiastic team player who’s flexible and proactive
Experience working with kids (as a babysitter, coach, mentor, or in a camp setting) is a plus
