Qualifications Certification in First Aid, CPR/AED Comfortable supporting students with medical equipment/medical conditions Duties & Responsibilities Deliver direct instructional and intervention support as outlined in students' IEPs under the guidance of the teacher or service provider. Provide small group and one-on-one academic support, reinforcing learning while the teacher or service provider works with other students. Adapt instructional materials and methods as needed to meet diverse student needs. Assist with student assessments, including supporting students who require accommodations or alternative testing methods. Collect data and maintain accurate records on student progress toward IEP goals, behavioral interventions, and academic performance, as directed by the teacher or service provider. Foster a positive and trauma-informed inclusive learning environment in all school settings. Implement positive behavior supports and classroom management strategies consistent with the teacher/service provider’s approach. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to promote student success. Maintain confidentiality of student records and sensitive information. Contribute to the Cove community by participating in school events and supporting a culture of inclusivity. Supervise students during classes such as gym, music, library, and art, ensuring engagement and safety while facilitating assigned activities. Supervise and support students during recess and lunch by promoting positive social interactions, ensuring safety, and reinforcing behavioral expectations.
