RN First Assist - Center for Performance Medicine Mercy Center for Performance Medicine Surgery Center Full‑time day shift first assistant position. About the Role Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details Mercy Center for Performance Medicine Surgery Center RN - First Assistant, FT Day Shift Who We Are Mercy Center for Performance Medicine out‑patient surgery offers state‑of‑the‑art care to patients in need of surgical care. The center consists of 10 operating rooms, 2 minor procedure rooms and 1 cysto suite, making it one of the largest surgery centers in the United States. Equipped with the latest and greatest technology. Surgery specialties include orthopedics, urology, plastics, neuro and general surgery. The surgery center also includes its own pre/post area, PACU, 23‑hour stay area, SPD and supply chain. Caregivers at CPM have the luxury of no weekends, no holidays and no call. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Licensure: Active RN licensure in the state of practice. Experience: Must have a minimum of 1‑year perioperative nursing experience. Certifications: BLS/ACLS required within first year. Other: Demonstrates continued competence in assisting and in perioperative nursing. Preferred: CNOR certification and/or RN‑First Assistant certification class preferred.
