Job Summary: The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients within a designated time frame. Care is provided using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and available resources, aligning with the institution's philosophy. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation. The RN ensures patient and employee safety, communicates effectively to resolve issues, and contributes to the professional development of peers.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN degree
• Illinois state RN License in good standing
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN degree

Additional Information:

• Provide direct care to CVMS patients, including post-op day one CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients
• Maintain hospital and unit-based competencies
• Perform hourly rounding on patients
• Proactively assist internal and external customers
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
