Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: General post-surgical skillset to include: incision care, assessment, drains, chest tubes, wound care/wound vacs, mobility, education, trach care, NG tube insertion, use of braces/traction.

Unit Details: Orthopedic surgery, spine surgery, trauma, vascular surgery, and medical overflow patients. RN ratios 1:4-6; surge times could be 1:7-8. Uses BD Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, Phillips and Massimo monitors.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. No call.

Special Requests: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Floating Requirements: Travel nurses will be first to float to other nursing units based on patient care needs and staffing demands and will take patients within scope of practice on any unit (e.g. MedSurg assignment in ICU, MedSurg holds in ED). Required to float within Region 1 facilities as needed, within scope of practice: Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, and Central Division (CMC Main, Mercy, LCH peds only).

6 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
