Cardiac And Thoracic Surgery Unit Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the cardiac and thoracic surgery unit, ensuring optimal recovery and outcomes. Utilize advanced skills to monitor, assess, and support patients with complex medical needs in a stepdown setting.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Continuously monitor patient vital signs and clinical status.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and health management.
• Document patient conditions, interventions, and responses accurately.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state registration.
• Minimum of 2 years of cardiac or thoracic surgery nursing experience.
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and post-operative care.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
