OT - Occupational Therapist

Occupational Therapist - Day Shift (5x8.0) Job Description The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, develops, administers, directs, and supervises OT treatment in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, regulations, and guidelines. Responsibilities Assess the patient's level of functioning upon physician orders and implement appropriate treatment based on assessment. Participate in the interdisciplinary team process and discharge planning. Complete documentation according to department policy and procedures. Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and students, assisting with orientation. Maintain patient safety and demonstrate effective communication with patients and families. Collaborate with team members to ensure the best patient care. Conduct evaluations using appropriate procedures and develop individualized treatment plans. Document training and use of adaptive equipment with patients and families. Participate in scheduled conferences and team meetings. Ensure workplace safety by adhering to safety policies and procedures. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Must hold a valid, current State license. BLS certification is required. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. Schedule This position operates on a Day shift (5x8.0). Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.
