Note: “Immigration sponsorship is not available in this role” What You’ll DoDefine and drive the technical vision for Walmart’s next-generation Traffic Foundation, shaping the long-term architecture and influencing the overall product and platform roadmap.Architect and guide large-scale, cross-functional initiatives, ensuring the design and delivery of highly available, massively scalable, and resilient distributed systems.Lead the discovery and design phases of complex projects, translating ambiguous problem domains into well-structured, high-level architectural strategies.Align business and technology objectives, ensuring that architectural decisions directly support Walmart’s strategic priorities and customer experience.Champion innovation and best practices by driving technical strategy, establishing standards, and enabling teams to deliver with speed, security, and reliability.Influence executives and senior stakeholders, providing technical thought leadership, building consensus across teams, and resolving complex technology tradeoffs with clarity and authority.What You’ll Bring10+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong networking background.Proven expertise in building and managing distributed, high-availability server systems at scale, preferably in cloud environments (Azure or Google Cloud).Hands-on experience designing and operating high-performance, high-throughput servers.Strong programming expertise in Go, C, C++, or Java with a focus on systems and infrastructure.Deep understanding of networking principles, protocols, and performance optimization.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse technical and business stakeholders.Excellent communication skills, including experience writing technical documentation and presenting complex concepts.At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet.
