Sr. QC Chemist

Our client, a leading organization in the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a Chemist to join their team. As a Sr. QC Chemist, you will be part of the Quality Control department supporting analytical testing and method development. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sr. QC Chemist

Location: Pearl River, NY

Pay Range: DOE

What's the Job?

• Perform routine and complex analytical chemistry activities with a high degree of independence.

• Conduct chemical, biological, and in-vitro assays on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products in compliance with regulatory standards.

• Write, review, and approve protocols, reports, and investigations related to laboratory activities.

• Support method validation and participate in laboratory investigations and change control processes.

• Apply innovative scientific techniques to improve measurement sensitivity and selectivity for product characterization.

What's Needed?

• A minimum of a BS/BA in Chemistry or Biochemistry; advanced degrees are preferred.

• At least 5+ years of relevant experience in Quality Control or "hands on" laboratory/analytical roles within the pharmaceutical industry.

• Proficiency with laboratory equipment troubleshooting and data analysis.

• HPLC experience is a MUST

• Knowledge of regulatory standards such as USP, FDA, ICH, and cGMP guidelines.

• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
