This role involves working with wood planks and panel products on a production line, performing basic finishing tasks, quality inspections, and assembly preparation. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in product quality, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesInspect wood planks and boards for defects, holes, and surface imperfections.Fill holes, cracks, and minor imperfections using wood putty.Smooth and press putty flat to ensure a consistent, high-quality finish.Perform light quality assurance inspections to verify products meet company standards.Tape boards together according to production specifications and work orders.Handle, stack, and move wood materials throughout the production process.Maintain production efficiency while ensuring quality standards are met.Keep workstations clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.Follow all workplace safety procedures and company policies.Assist with additional production and assembly tasks as needed.QualificationsPrevious manufacturing, production, assembly, or woodworking experience preferred but not required.Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as needed.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Dependable attendance and positive work ethic.Physical RequirementsFrequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.Repetitive use of hands and arms during production tasks.Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to wood products and dust.BenefitsCompetitive pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hourFull-time, 1st shift scheduleOpportunity for growth and advancementOn-the-job training providedSupportive team environment
