Industrial Quality Inspector-Measuring Required

We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and dedicated Quality Inspector to serve as a key advocate for quality at a client in Alpharetta, GA. In this role, you will inspect incoming raw materials, manufactured architectural aluminum and metal components, and outgoing products to ensure every shipment meets our rigid design and functional specifications. Key Responsibilities

• Inspection & Verification:
  • Gather, review, and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specs.
    
    
  • Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process architectural trims/reveals, and finished products for full compliance (visual quality, dimensions, correct material, and quantity).
    
    
  • Build and test mock-ups as required to verify proof of functionality and installation accuracy.

• Documentation & Record Keeping:
  • Document all inspection results directly on drawings for accounting and reference purposes.
    
    
  • Maintain clean, organized, and accurate inspection logs and historical quality records.
    
    
  • Prepare and submit regular quality reporting.

• Quality Control & Material Handling:
  • Clearly identify and tag materials using "QC Accepted" or "QC Rejected" designations.

  • Inspect and apply product decals and labels as required.

  • Stage inspected materials in an orderly, safe, and systematic manner.  
    Qualifications & Key Skills

  • Experience: 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing, metals, architectural products, or industrial production environment.

  • Blueprint Reading: ability to read, interpret, and inspect against complex architectural drawings, extrusions, and technical specifications.

  • Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience using precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, tape measures).

  • Mindset: Highly dependable with an uncompromising eye for detail and product finish quality.

  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills for reporting non-conformances and collaborating with production teams and management.

Responsibilities

The Quality Inspector checks the quality of all incoming manufactured, and outgoing material and products. This position will be a firm advocate of quality in our business. The ideal candidate should possess a keen eye for detail and should be reliable and committed. Ensuring our products are made of flawless materials with well-functioning equipment. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:  Gathers drawings and applicable technical specifications  Reviews and understand the specs  Inspects all materials for compliance with the specifications o Correct material for application o Visual o Dimensional o Quantity o Mock-up (as required for proof of functionality and accuracy)  Documents inspection results on drawings (for accounting and reference)  Maintains inspection records  Identifies satisfactory material with “QC Accepted” and non-conforming material with “QC Rejected”  Recognizes QA policies, procedures, and directives for development and compliance while providing feedback and follow up to ensure proper corrective action is achieved.  decals  Reports results to HSQE supervisor o Acceptance o Discrepancies o Rejects  Stages material in an orderly manner  Focuses on continual growth of our Quality at the Source program, ensuring that the program is effective, and that all Team Members perform their own quality checks as well as collecting quality data.  Maintains Quality Reporting.  Maintains inspection tools and calibrated instruments

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
