Salary: $95,000 - 135,000 per year Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python for developing, maintaining, and testing agentic tools.
• Ability to help develop system architecture and build and maintain Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers for AI application integration.
• Experience deploying and operating AI applications in production, particularly in Docker containers.
• Familiarity with deploying and maintaining large language models using vLLM in Dockerized environments.
• Ability to maintain Open WebUI instances and configurations.
• Skills in creating documentation and training materials for AI application users.
• Ability to work with security teams to review code and Docker images for vulnerabilities.

• Develop, maintain, and test agentic tools and other AI applications, and contribute to system architecture.
• Build and maintain MCP servers for AI application integration.
• Deploy, operate, and maintain AI applications in production, providing ongoing support for operational stability.
• Assist with deployment and maintenance of large language models using vLLM and upkeep of Open WebUI instances.
• Create user documentation and training materials, and help deliver in-person or recorded training sessions.
• Maintain Alabama Medicaid AI knowledge bases used for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Support AI server and application deployments, model testing and fine-tuning, and monitoring of infrastructure health and performance.
• Coordinate with the Information Security Office to address vulnerabilities and ensure applications follow Alabama Medicaid Agency security policies and HIPAA requirements.
• Support other AI-related work as directed by leadership, participate in agile development and team collaboration, and manage code and documentation in Git, Azure DevOps, and other approved tools.

The position supports AI development and operations for Alabama Medicaid, including applications, infrastructure, user education, and healthcare data privacy compliance, in collaboration with the AI Director, Lead AI Developer, CIO, and Information Security Office.
