Pine St Newport, WA 99156, USA Primary scheduled hours: 72 hours per pay period, days, 12 hours shifts Job Summary: Performs a variety of imaging procedures, including CT/X‑Ray procedures as applicable, and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Essential Job Functions Responsible for the care and safety of patients while performing diagnostic CT and/or XRAY exams and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients. Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient, including pediatric, geriatric, and general population. Responsible for safe handling of equipment; performs a pre‑procedure check on all equipment; provides preventive maintenance. Instructs and prepares patients for medical imaging procedures. Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly. Reviews prescribed dosage of ionizing radiation for accuracy before all treatments. Practices medical and surgical asepsis at all times. Education Background and Experience Graduation from an AMA‑approved school of Radiologic Technology. Required Licensure / Certifications State licensure that permits them to perform diagnostic CT exams and documented training on the provision of diagnostic CT exams. Registration and certification in radiography by ARRT and documented training on the provision of diagnostic CT exams. Certification in nuclear medicine technology by ARRT or NMTCB and documented training on the provision of diagnostic CT exams. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Required Experience One (1) year of radiologic/imaging experience. Must be certified in CT registry within one year of hire. Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology. Possesses a high level of knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy. Proficiency with most major CT/X‑Ray equipment manufacturer's hardware and software (GE, Siemens, Toshiba). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required. Prefer specific experience and training in CT. Professional Requirements Maintain regulatory requirements Report to work on time and as scheduled; complete work within designated timelines. Demonstrates the ability to adhere to the mission, ethics and goals of the District. Demonstrates the ability to communicate with patients, guests and staff in a courteous, respectful and helpful manner. Compensation / How We Care For You Successful candidates typically begin between the beginning and midpoint of the compensation range dependent on qualifications/experience and receive compensation in increments increases annually.
