Job Summary:
Precision Cut Industries (PCI) is seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Quality Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will perform standardized quality control checks to ensure all products meet company standards for safety, accuracy, and performance. Additional responsibilities include maintaining calibrated test equipment, preparing and documenting inspection data, and identifying opportunities for quality improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage quality-related documentation, including control plans, First Article Inspections (FAIs), blueprints, and other relevant records.
- Support the control of non-conformances, Material Review Board (MRB) processes, and Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
- Serve as the 5S Champion for the Quality Control area on the shop floor.
- Perform inspections for Shipping and Receiving.
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
- Audit control plans and evaluate compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct production floor patrols and inspections to identify non-conforming products.
- Collaborate with production and tooling teams to address and resolve quality concerns.
- Participate in internal audits and customer quality reviews as required.
- Calibrate, maintain, and verify testing equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) using customer prints and measurement tools; prepare inspection paperwork with dimensional results.
- Manage the Quality Hold Area, including incoming inspections, customer returns, and FAIs.
- Conduct inspections and audits across PCI’s three facilities to verify compliance with control plans.
- Support ISO 9001 compliance efforts and corrective action initiatives.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or technical degree preferred.
- Previous experience in a technical or quality control role is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with sheet metal operations and ISO 9001 standards strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret product specifications, blueprints, and related technical documents required.
- Strong understanding of basic mathematics and measurement principles.
- Proficiency with PDFs, DXF drawings, and 3D models (e.g., STEP files, SolidWorks).
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external customers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) or Faro Arm is a plus.
- Skilled in the use of manual measuring tools such as calipers, height gauges, pin gauges, and tape measures.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods (4–8 hours or more).
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in uncontrolled climate.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts or extended hours as needed.
