Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description

This role involves supporting daily production activities in a manufacturing environment by assisting with general labor tasks, operating machinery, and ensuring parts meet quality standards. You will work closely with machine operators to keep production running smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Remove excess plastic from parts to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Assist machine operators with setup, operation, and changeovers as needed.
• Run and operate production machines independently when the primary operator is away.
• Load materials and parts into machines to maintain continuous production flow.
• Support packing and handling of finished parts to prepare them for the next stage of production.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and team leads accurately and promptly.
• Adapt to different tasks and responsibilities as production needs change from day to day.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency.

Essential Skills

• Ability to take directions well and follow instructions accurately.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new tasks quickly and apply new skills on the job.
• Willingness and ability to adapt to different working duties each day.
• Basic production experience or familiarity with working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate production machinery safely.
• Capability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, loading materials, and handling parts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with machine operation or machine operating in a production setting.
• Background in packing, loading, or similar general labor roles.
• Strong attention to detail when trimming or handling parts.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a production team.

Work Environment

This position is based in a production facility that uses machinery to manufacture and process plastic parts. You will work around active production lines, operating and supporting machines and handling materials throughout your shift. The environment includes a break room equipped with vending machines and personal lockers assigned upon hire for secure storage. You can expect a hands-on, fast-paced setting where you move between different tasks as production needs change, following standard safety practices and wearing appropriate work attire suitable for a manufacturing floor.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Appleton, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
