Registered Dental Hygienist Opportunity

The Dentist on Boones Ferry in Lake Oswego, OR is seeking an exceptional Registered Dental Hygienist to join our established private practice.

We are a busy, patient-focused office with a wonderful team and a strong emphasis on providing excellent dentistry in a positive, collaborative environment. We are looking for a hygienist who takes pride in their clinical care, enjoys developing relationships with patients, and wants to be an engaged member of the entire dental team.

Our ideal hygienist is clinically thorough, dependable, positive, and professional. Just as importantly, we are looking for someone who communicates well, follows established office systems, takes ownership of their role, and believes that a great dental office works best when everyone helps one another.

Schedule

• Monday–Wednesday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Thursday: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

Compensation

• $55–$65/hour, depending on experience.

The Role

Our hygienists play an important role in our patients' overall care. Responsibilities include adult and child prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, periodontal charting, digital radiographs, oral hygiene instruction and patient education, clinical photographs, local anesthetic, health-history review, and accurate clinical documentation.

Our hygienists also work closely with the doctor during examinations by identifying areas of concern, communicating clinical findings, and helping patients understand their oral health and recommended treatment. We use Eaglesoft as our record keeping software. Each morning we huddle at 7:40am to prepare for the day as a team.

Adult hygiene and periodontal maintenance appointments are generally scheduled for one hour, allowing our hygienists to provide thorough care and build relationships with their patients. New patient appointments are scheduled at 90 minutes.

Qualifications

• Current Oregon Dental Hygiene License
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Local anesthesia certification as applicable
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Commitment to excellent patient care and teamwork
