Overview Riley Power Group, LLC is a full-service maintenance and capital construction services company headquartered in Pinehurst, NC. We work nationwide on some of the most challenging, exciting construction and maintenance projects in the industrial sector. We are currently hiring skilled Pipefitters for multiple sites in the US. Responsibilities Plan, lay‑out, install, test, and repair all types of piping systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Use appropriate hand and power tools to fit and install all types of pipe and/or tubular products; work with carbon steel, stainless steel, PVC, poly, copper, and various high pressure/temperature alloys; operate beveling machines, threaders and other end prep machines; cut or drill holes in walls to permit passage of pipes; mount pipe hangers and brackets; install valves, couplings and other fittings; disassemble and remove damaged or worn pipe; erect scaffolding; lift, position and secure materials; and install all other items per plans and specifications. Participate in all safety-related processes and programs; work to achieve zero injuries; report hazards to supervision; use stop work authority when needed. Report all accidents and near misses and participate in investigation processes as needed. Participate in all pre‑job work planning and safety discussions; identify hazards and take corrective action to eliminate or mitigate hazards. Follow lockout/tagout procedures; attend site-specific training and comply with all procedures as outlined in training. Maintain a safe and clean work environment and follow established safety rules and regulations. Communicate effectively, read and understand plans and specifications (including orthographic and isometric drawings). Visualize 2D drawings in 3D and understand the contract plans and specifications to lay out, install, and/or repair piping systems. Observe functioning of installed systems to determine hazards and need for adjustments; notify supervision of hazards and use safety stop work authority as needed. Inspect field conditions, identify problems, and take corrective actions; report issues to supervision. Operate construction equipment (if certified) in accordance with safety and maintenance requirements; complete daily equipment inspections as applicable. Perform other duties as required by supervision and comply with Company Code of Conduct and jobsite policies. Qualifications At least five years of pipe fitting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in an industrial construction setting. Strong working knowledge of pipe fitting craft and various welding codes and specifications. Ability to understand and follow directions. Must have all necessary tools and bring them to site. Must be at least 18 years of age. Successful candidates must be willing and able to complete and pass all pre‑employment and employment screening requirements which may include practical skills testing, medical, psychological (if required by site), background, and substance abuse screening. Physical Requirements Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds. Stand, kneel, bend, stoop, move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas; see and hear with or without correction. Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with job duties. Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls; perform repetitive movements. Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds. Work up to a 12-hour shift performing hard physical labor in varying temperature conditions and outdoors.
