Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Friday-Sunday: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, under the direction of the Medical Director and/or Section Head, the Clinical Specialist, the Manager, and the Radiologist, performs technical procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. This role utilizes specific modalities to create diagnostic images and provide patients with a safe and positive experience. The technologist supports teaching and continual learning as technology evolves both for themselves and others.

In addition to trauma and emergency room scanning, technologists perform CT exams on outpatients, inpatients (both stable and those receiving intensive care), research patients, and those requiring specialized CT scan-guided procedures. The CT Technologists also practice and enforce radiation safety measures in accordance with New York State Department of Health code part 16.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Education: Must be a graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School and a high school graduate.
• Licensure: New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or possess a limited permit to practice in New York State.
• Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
• Experience: Entry Level; Limited or no experience; MIT Level assigned based on skillset and experience.
