IT Agile Team Leader II

Schedule:Monday - Friday (40 hrs/wk)8:00 AM - 5:00 PMDepartment: IT Program Management - 225Primary Purpose:The Agile Team Lead is responsible for making sure Scrum teams live by the values and practices of Scrum, and for acting as the process owner for the team, creating a balance with the Product Owner. As an Agile Team Lead, you will do whatever possible to help the team perform at their highest level. This involves removing impediments to progress, facilitating meetings, and working closely with the product owner to make sure the product backlog is properly groomed. Consider joining our dynamic team.Essential Functions:Guide development teams and product management on the use of agile practices; act as an agent of change to expand the use of Scrum throughout the organization Empower delivery teams to be self-organized guide team to work toward measurable goalsFacilitate Scrum activities/ceremonies Facilitate collaborative, cross-functional communication, improving transparency and radiating project information and metrics Assess the scrum maturity of the team and organization; coach the team to higher levels of maturity Remove impediments; understand the difference between internal and organizational impediments and how to manage each effectively Build a trusting/safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on problem solving Support and educate the Product Owner, with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog Provide support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible; lead by example Participate in the Scrum of Scrums with the other SM’s to coordinate interdependencies and implement best practices Stay current on industry and Agile best practicesOther duties as assigned.Physical and Other Requirements:Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.Mobility: The person in this position needs to occasionally move between work sites and inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Communicate: Frequently and effectively communicate with others.PPE: Biohazard laboratory environment that requires use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies.ARUP Policies and Procedures: To conduct self in compliance with all ARUP Policies and Procedures.Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Fine Motor Control: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.Vision: Having close, far, and peripheral visual acuity to perform a variety of tasks such as make general observations of depth and distance.QualificationsEDUCATIONHigh School Diploma or Equivalent or betterBachelor's Degree or better in Computer Science or related fieldEXPERIENCEUnderstanding of organizational structure and best practices of enterprise frameworks (e.g. ITIL, COBIT) Experience with diagramming (e.g. UML, OBASHI) Extensive experience facilitating effective meetingsScrum, Kanban, or Lean Six Sigma certificationsTwo years of experience as an Agile Project Manageer or Agile Product Owner within software development.Two years of experience configuring Jira and Confluence as a Site or Org Admin level for 300+ employees across multiple divisions.Bachelor’s degree and two years’ work experience and two years leading Agile software teams Or six years work experience and two years leading Agile software teamsCertified ScrumMaster (CSM) or able to receive certification within 6 months of hire dateTwo years’ experience serving in a ScrumMaster or Product Owner role, working on more than one complex, software development projectDemonstrated and broadly recognizable deep understanding of the basic principles of ScrumDemonstrated work experience organizing work and or projectsDemonstrated work experience with meeting facilitation, conflict resolution and training othersDemonstrated work experience working on teams of various sizes, in different cultures, and with both collocated and dispersed teamsDemonstrated work experience relating to technical and business roles at varying levels of the organizationDemonstrated work experience with a variety of Agile concepts, including release and sprint planning, stand up, burn-down, retrospectivesDemonstrated work experience showing independent thinkingSecond level Scrum certificationProject Management certification (PMP) or equivalent2 years’ experience mentoring othersExperience with establishing Agile practices in an organizationFamiliar with Servant LeadershipExperience in most Advanced Agile Concepts (User Stories, TDD, Continuous integration, Continuous testing, pairing, automated testing)2 years’ experience with systems analysisExperience working with hybrid teams (agile projects/teams interacting or working with non-agile teams) Experience with root cause analysis Experience using Lean or other Agile methods such as KanbanExperience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server or similar toolLICENSES & CERTIFICATIONSCert ScrumMasterScrumMaster Level TwoProject Management ProfJob SummaryRequisition Number: ITAGI023386Job Category: Information SystemsSchedule: Full-Time
