Maintenance Assistant

Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Assistant. Essential Job Functions Responsible to fill in when maintenance director is on vacation or out of the building Assist with any projects, repairs or audits that Maintenance Director needs help with Maintain the grounds, facility, equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by your supervisor, to assure that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times. Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools Assembles, installs or repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment Performs a variety of routine physical labor tasks, depending upon area of assignment, including posting general notices, pulling weeds, picking up litter, raking leaves and debris, planting, replacing light bulbs, and moving furniture Performs cleanup at the end of the day or when the job is completed, including picking up tools, spills, and debris cleaning work areas and performing touch up work as needed Sets up meeting areas for meetings and events Performs other duties and tasks as assigned Delegated administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to carry out assigned duties Qualifications Experience in long term care setting preferred Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc. Painting Service heating and cooling units/systems General Maintenance Duties Benefits As a Flint Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center employee, you will enjoy working in an environment that promotes professional growth and development that offers competitive wages and PTO plans, benefit options such as medical, dental, and vision coverage as well as life insurance and disability plans.
