- Financial Reporting : Own month-end close processes, consolidations, and financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP
- Accounting Operations : Oversee processes including AR (Order-to-Cash) and AP (Procure-to-Pay), partnering closely with sales, rev ops, legal, and operations teams
- Systems & Infrastructure : Implement and own the systems that will enable the business to scale (from ERP to reporting infrastructure)
- Controls & Audit Readiness: Design and implement robust internal controls and establish audit-ready processes
- Automation : Leverage AI agents and automation to reduce manual workflows such as transaction categorization and reconciliations
- External Relationships : Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners
- Professional experience in a Controller or Senior Accounting Manager role at a high-growth venture-backed start-up
- Experience owning a full-cycle close process and audit process
- Experience building or improving systems and processes from the ground up, not just inheriting a mature function
- Deep technical accounting knowledge including ASC 606 and multi-entity consolidations
- CPA required
- Prior public accounting background
- First-audit experience
- ERP implementation or migration experience
- You want a team from day one; you'll build the team as we scale
- You prefer steady-state maintenance over building and improving processes
- You don't love being in the details
