Maintenance Technician

Job Description Insight Global is working with a rapidly growing, family-owned manufacturer and distributor to identify a Maintenance Technician to join their team. This hire will support day‑to‑day manufacturing operations at the Sanford, NC plant, acting as a key maintenance resource on the production floor. This individual will spend the majority of their time troubleshooting equipment issues, performing preventative maintenance, rebuilding machinery, and working directly with machine operators to keep production running efficiently. While the typical schedule is Mon‑Fri, 6am‑4pm, the candidate must be open to OT or weekend work as needed. The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical aptitude, experience maintaining manufacturing equipment, and the flexibility to respond to equipment issues as they arise. This role offers significant autonomy and visibility within the facility. Typical responsibilities will include: Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues. Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions. Perform equipment rebuilds and component replacement. Support installation and startup of new machinery. Complete preventative maintenance schedules. Maintain maintenance tools, inventory, and work areas. Partner with production teams to reduce downtime and improve reliability. Follow all safety procedures and company policies. Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills. Experience with pneumatic systems, conveyors, chain drives, and preventative maintenance. Ability to use multimeters and troubleshoot low-voltage electrical systems. Welding experience preferred. Strong work ethic and attention to detail. Ability to work overtime when needed. Experience in: Wood products manufacturing; Building materials manufacturing; Metal fabrication; Aluminum machining; High-volume production environments Experience supporting automated equipment.
