We have been named a Washington Post Top Workplace for six consecutive years. About the Role Our day-to-day work is in C# on .NET Core with MVC and Vue.js at the front-end. We develop software ranging from data capture forms to Roslyn-based C# class -> REST API generators to custom enrollment engine patterns. We value planning and peer discussions before coding. We use Micro-ORM, dynamic SQL, or stored procedures as appropriate. We like generics and functional techniques and code that is easy to read. Junior to mid-level engineers concentrate on handling loosely defined features and implementing proper solutions. We work with product owners and executives to ensure features address the right problems. We follow a Kanban process to drive pace by task definition. You will work within a team to handle features within a product area. The team will help plan features and system designs. Designs are reviewed with the team to ensure quality code upfront. Our products present a mix of user-experience focused challenges, message handling, and data-intensive tasks. Each team faces varied challenges that require thoughtful coding, planning, and collaboration. Note: This is an onsite role working out of either Bethesda, MD or Salt Lake City, UT on a hybrid schedule. Responsibilities Plan out code and design features Review teammates’ code Build and maintain products with real-world usage Rapidly iterate and deploy new code Build scale into code and design Collaborate with DevOps to improve tooling and pipelines Work with Front-End Engineers to enhance UI widgets Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of professional experience, preferably in a full-stack development role Proven in-depth knowledge of C# Strong attention to detail Compensation and Benefits The expected hiring range for this position is $80,000-$180,000 per year.
