Concession Stand Worker - Northwell Health at Jones Beach Amphitheater

The Role The Concession Stand Worker is responsible to provide customer service, prepare and serve a variety of menu items, sell items, collect payment and provide correct change to guests. All Concession Stand Workers / Cashiers report directly to the Concession Stand Manager of the assigned stand. Sell items, collect payment, and make correct change. Interact with customers to assure satisfaction. Enter all sales into cash register accurately. Clean up; store product; remove trash and garbage to dumpster. Serve patrons' food and beverage orders quickly, properly portioned, with courteous demeanor. Verify ID on all customers ordering alcohol. Suggestively sell and upsell items. Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area. Interact with co-workers to ensure compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures. Perform arithmetic operations with U.S. monetary units (add, subtract, multiply, divide). Qualifications All applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to interact with co-workers to assure compliance with company service standards. Multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Work fluently in English. Work in an open-aired environment during all climate conditions. Lift and carry items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds, up and down stairs/ramps. Work all stadium events, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays. Have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks: constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, pulling for extended periods. Meet state and local health requirements for food handlers and alcoholic beverage services. Pay rate: $17 per hour. Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job-specified safety training.
