About the Position

Job Title: PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (08:00 - 20:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required in Pre/Post-operative care License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Epic experience required, Level 1 trauma and outpatient experience preferred Description: This position is for a PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse. The shift is day shift with options for 3x12 or 4x10 hours. Call is included in the schedule with requirements every third or fourth weekend. Experience in preoperative and postoperative care is mandatory. Strong familiarity with Epic charting is necessary for this role. Candidates with experience in Level 1 trauma and outpatient care are preferred. Basic Life Support certification is required, while Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification is preferred. Previous charge experience is also an advantage. The patient ratio is typically 1:1. Unit details include care for patients undergoing various cardiac procedures, including CABG, AAA repair, and others. Interdisciplinary support is available from several services like physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Candidates should be ready to manage various medical scenarios and emergency medications. There is a strict compliance deadline for credentialing to be met before starting the role.
