Event Specialist

Idaho Tents & Events is a leading event solutions provider serving the Treasure Valley, recognized for delivering outstanding experiences for a diverse range of clients - from intimate weddings to large-scale community gatherings. As an Event Specialist, you will play a key role in bringing client visions to life, guiding them through every stage of the event planning process. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners through networking and outreach activities
• Meet with clients both in-person and on-site to understand their event objectives and vision
• Design event layouts and prepare detailed, customized proposals tailored to client needs
• Guide clients from initial inquiry through to the successful execution of their events
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless event planning and delivery
• Assist in the planning and execution of large community events and vendor partnerships
• Stay informed about industry trends and local venues to provide knowledgeable recommendations

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in events, hospitality, or a client-facing sales role
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
• Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying and resolving issues
• Comfortable with sales conversations and event logistics
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
• Willingness to work some evenings and weekends as required by event schedules
• Proficient with computers and able to learn new systems quickly
• Valid driver’s license
• Familiarity with Treasure Valley venues is a plus

Compensation

$16 - $22 per hour base pay plus monthly sales commission. This is a full-time position with typical hours on weekdays and rotating Saturdays.
