Summer Camp Pre-school Group Leader

The Summer Camp Pre-school Group Leader reports to the Program Coordinator and will primarily work with the half-day summer day camp program, children ages 4-5. This includes teaching camp groups each week, assisting with the development of curriculum, and assisting with the supervision of interns and volunteers. During non-camp weeks, the Group Leader may choose to take time off or work. If working, group leader will assist with other educational programming, prep for upcoming camp weeks, assist with general facility and grounds upkeep, and other tasks assigned by the Program Coordinator or Executive Director.  

Requirements

• Minimum 1 years of college, preferably working towards a degree in education, environmental education, or related field  
• Knowledge of natural history and environmental topics  
• Knowledge of, desire to work with, and experience working with preschool children  
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills  
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills  
• Current CPR & First Aid Certification  
• Ability to pass a criminal background and sex offender check
