Overview The Student Scholar, Radiology role is designed for second-year students enrolled in a JRCERT-accredited School of Radiography who are eager to gain hands‑on clinical experience in a dynamic hospital setting. Under the direct supervision of certified ARRT technologists, you’ll support the performance of diagnostic imaging procedures using radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment. This is more than a student role – it’s a chance to build your confidence, sharpen your skills, and contribute to patient care in a real‑world environment that values safety, compassion, and excellence. Key Responsibilities Assist in performing radiographic and fluoroscopic exams across a variety of clinical areas including: Pediatrics Operating Room Emergency Department Outpatient Imaging Portable Radiography Fluoroscopy Procedures Learn and apply proper patient positioning techniques and equipment operation. Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff. Deliver patient care that is timely, professional, and aligned with WakeMed’s standards of excellence. Collaborate with technologists and clinical teams to support workflow and patient throughput.
